six months

oh sweet Hazel

This girl turned 6 months recently. That's half way to a year people! She has recently mastered sitting up on her own and has just today started to pull herself around with her arms so needless to say she is keeping us all on our toes.

Lately, I've been itching to make some kind of hairbows or headbands or something for Hazel. I have a few cute ideas pinned on pinterest that I may just have to give a whirl. You know, with all the free time I have. But seriously wouldn't she look adorable with a bow in her hair?

5 months

Hazel turned 5 months on tuesday. How did we get here already? How is my teeny, tiny, sweet little babe almost half a year old! Time has a way of just rolling on. As much as things change and get crazy and toss us around like tiny pebbles in the crashing surf the everyday things continue to go on. Oliver is still Oliver, Lilly is still Lilly and now the older Hazel gets the more I can see glimpses of who she will be.

Sweet Hazel Bee,

I'm loving all your coos and squeals and giggles, really I am, but maybe not at 4:30 in the morning. Let's try to cut down on that OK? Regardless we all think you're pretty swell. 

three months

I'm late in posting this as Hazel is already 4+ months but I suppose this is what happens when you are the third.  I actually had started this post and had it sitting in my drafts for a month but we've had colds/flu/strep throat circle through our house 3 times since the middle of december and it was forgotten about in this last germ fest. Ugh. I think we are all finally past it (fingers crossed) but none the less I'm a little paranoid of catching anything else. Hazel has been an exceptionally happy baby despite her having more colds in her first few months than either of my other 2 had in their first few years. another hazard of being a third I suppose. Lucky for her she has a house full of people to coo and fuss over her and tell her how lovely we all think she is.

because really how can you not love this little face! (as I'm typing this Lilly comes up behind me saying "ooooh Hazel! Look how cute she is!" in her best gushy voice.)

your middle name means "she who brings happiness" and I can't think of a more perfect name for you.

I realized while writing this mornings post that I had yet to share Hazel's one month photo so here it is! 

This is something I started doing when Oliver was just two months old with Roscoe the bear. I'll have to dig out the embarrassingly, horribly taken photos of Oliver and the slightly better photos of Lilly to compare at some point. It's fun to see family resemblances.
